Welcome to The Hygienists & Co.

The Dental Hygienist you are seeing is a registered professional trained to help you to improve and maintain your oral health as part of your overall general health. They can carry out treatment directly to patients without the need to visit a dentist first.

The Dental Hygienists here at The Hygienists & Co are indemnified with a dental indemnity company and registered with the New Zealand Dental Council.

Dental Hygienists are unable to diagnose or give prognosis of disease or prescribe medication.

Dental Hygienists do not restore teeth, extract teeth, or carry out pulp treatments.

The Hygienists recommended that you see a Dentist at least every 12 to 18 months for an examination and overall dental care plan in the interests of your health.

There may be rare circumstances where the Hygienist advises you to see a Dentist before they can start treatment, or continue treatment to assess you. This is always in the interests of your health and may relate to your medical history and general health, or a condition that is of concern.

I have read and understand the terms and agree to be treated via direct access arrangement with the Dental Hygienist. I understand that the Dental Hygienists are not responsible for my oral health overall and that regular visits to a Dentist is required.
